Candi Moates, Owner
I am a 32 year old with a passion for animal care. I am currently taking classes to become a licensed trainer and studying basic vet care. My long term dream is to expand Candi's Critters into a full service organization that offers pet sitting, training, grooming, and rescue services.

I began Candi's Critters around 2 years ago when I was still teaching high school. Because of my time off with teaching, I had the time to do more, so I decided to pursue my passion. I began by sitting for friends and relatives, & we have only grown since then. I left teaching and wanted to solely run this business, but I wasn't quite ready for that financial leap. So, currently, I am also a financial aid advisor at Texas Tech University. Since I am not always available during the day, I also have two part-time employees to help with mid-day visits and high volumes during the busy times. Please take the time to read about them below.

My name is Chelsey Tucker and I am a graduate student at Texas Tech. I myself have three furry friends, a Staffordshire terrier named Kita, an English Setter named London, and a Guinea Pig we call Zelda. I love all animals and look forward to being able to help care for yours!
Kayla Pickett, Employee
I am 20 years old and a former student of Candi's. I am caring and trustworthy. I’ve had all different kinds of pets throughout my life. I love and respect all animals and the same goes for humans. Just here to look after some fur babies and help keep your mind at ease while you are away!
